Thanks to the AAU (Amateur Athletic Union) Roller Hockey will stay alive and well in our region.   Four rinks (Topshelf, Youngsville, LA;  Slapshot, Richardson, TX;  Austin Sports Arena and 3Star Inline  – Shenandoah, TX ) along with AAU have come together to offer what is known as the AIHL Junior Program.  Each rink has decided to field teams in the 8U, 10U, 12U, 14U and 16U age divisions… this means that each tournament will be FULL of teams.  These four rinks make up the “Gulf Coast Region”.

The AIHL Jr. program will cost $450 + $12 AAU registration fee per player.  The fees include:

• 4 tournaments and league membership fees
• A choice of Nationals (2Hot4Ice or AAU) - Nationals fees waived for ALL teams.

In addition to the 4 Tournaments and choice of Nationals, players will have the opportunity to participate in the TEAM USA Jr Program.  Topshelf Sports will host the 2010 Team USA Jr Prospects Tryouts for TEAM USA GULF COAST that will represent the Gulf Coast Region at the 2010 AAU Junior Olympic Games in Huntington Beach, CA.  This event is co-sponsored by AAU/USARS (The National Governing Body of USA Roller Sports).
